A TRUSTWORTHY GOD

"If we make a decision to trust, God will show us how TRUSTWORTHY He is."
So true! - but why is it so hard?

I'm learning more and more to trust God FULLY.
Sometimes I'm tempted to believe that if I obey God, things won't work out for my best, or I will miss out on something better.
The TRUTH is- if I really trusted Him, I would be able to let go of my fears, do what I know He wants me to do, and believe He will work it out-regardless of what it looks like.

Sometimes obedience to the Lord requires sacrifice or risk or uncertainty. All things that can be very uncomfortable.
Right now, I am in a place of waiting on God. Waiting for some answers, clarity, and direction.
And I find it so hard to trust that God is going to show up on time and speak to me. I fear that it will be too late. I fear that He won't speak. I fear that I won't like His answer.
The issue is a lack of faith.

Isaiah 7:9 says, "If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all."
We have to fight the tendency to trust in ourselves rather than our Father.

"Part of knowing who God is also involves knowing that His ways are higher than ours and His plans for our lives may be different from what what we would have chosen."

All I know is that I would much rather be safe under the Hands and Protection of my Father than out on my own doing my own thing.
I am choosing to believe God, not my fear.
The Lord has been, and is so faithful- it's WHO HE IS!
There is no safer place to be that in the hands of our loving God. There is nothing and no one greater, stronger, or more gracious to put our TRUST IN.
I believe that my God has everything in control and that He is trying to teach me things during this season of waiting. And I want to learn and listen.

"You know you're made for more
So don't be afraid to move
Your faith is all it takes."
